Lee and Babsi
The Motorhome story started on a camping trip to Charlie’s (Trevaylor near St Just, so so worth a visit). After 45 mins the 6 berth beast was up, with only one small fracture to a pole (thankfully the wind wasn’t high). Shortly after, whilst sat in the chair admiring our efforts a VW Transporter rocks up and after spending 3 mins leveling the van his bear was taken out of the fridge. It was at this point the old brain started kicking in that my days of putting up the glamping tent may be numbered!
After getting to know the chap in the VW, we had a tour. OMG, what you could do with a van. Early Sunday morning and some mild rain later, we had to pack everything up. 45mins to get the soggy wet tent back roughly into a bag. This then resulted in 3 weeks of hanging the tent in the garage with regular visits to turn the tent regularly to dry complet. At the same time, the VW van was off the leveling ramps and away in approx 5 mins. We were doing something wrong here was my thoughts.
Thoughts of doing a full van conversion were in full flow. Shortly followed by a work colleague bringing into work for the quick get away Friday, his Swift Bolero 680 Motorhome , after a full guided tour of it OMG, I wanted one.
Some quick sums for a conversion on both time and money proved to me that a full ready converted Motorhome would be more cost effective. The search began!
Within a few weeks of searching the various garages around the local area we found the ideal unit. She will be named the Babsilee ?
After the OMG of “we have spent how much?” We are now planning on making the most of her both in the UK and foreign. Updates hopefully will be on the blog and pictures .
